Tasting notes
Deep color. Smoky violet and dried plum on the nose. Blackberry and blueberry on the palate. Viscous, with well-rounded skin tannins on the lingering finish.
Winemaking notes. Fermented with commercial yeast and taken through full malolactic fermentation. Aged 28 months in American oak, 50% new and 50% neutral. Manually filtered prior to bottling.
Vintage notes. The 2022 season delivered beautifully balanced fruit, with steady early growth and a warm, sun-filled summer that encouraged depth and concentration. Ample ripeness, vibrant aromatics, and naturally structured tannins defined the harvest. Serendipiti Vineyard lies near the tasting room, where its rolling topography holds some of the best soils Virginia offers.
