Tasting notes

Le Pivot shows aromas of raspberry, red currant, and black cherry with notes of spice and earth. The palate is medium-bodied, smooth, and fruit-driven, with the Tannat adding subtle grip and structure. Balanced acidity and integrated oak lead to a clean, versatile finish ideal for everyday drinking or casual gatherings.

Winemaking notes. Crafted as a Merlot and Cabernet Franc blend with 10% Tannat added for structure and depth. Aged 16 months in French oak, including 22% new; the wine was handled gently to preserve varietal character, balance tannins, and reflect the adaptability that inspired its name.

Vintage notes. A moderate 2020 season allowed Bordeaux varietals in Loudoun County to ripen evenly, developing red-fruit purity, supple tannins, and natural balance. Warm afternoons and cool nights supported flavor concentration while preserving acidity.
