‘SteveP’ Cabernet Sauvignon 2022
Produced by Bozzo Family Vineyards · Purcellville, Virginia
Tasting notes
Medium-bodied and balanced, showing red and dark red fruits over mild, well-knit tannins. The mid-palate is smooth and the finish carries cleanly. A versatile pour for roasted meats, mushroom dishes, and aged cheeses.
Winemaking notes. Fermented with cultured yeast, then aged twelve months in French oak, a mix of new and neutral barrels, for gentle spice and integration without masking the fruit. Filtered to 0.45 micron and bottled dry at 0.18% residual sugar.
Vintage notes. 2022 was a stellar vintage in Loudoun County, with a better-than-average harvest of very clean, ripe fruit. Steady ripening carried the Cabernet Sauvignon to full flavor maturity with supple, fine-grained tannins. SteveP honors a niece’s husband: composed, even-handed, and quietly assured.
