Tasting notes

Elegant and aromatic, with notes of apple, pear, and buttery pastry. The palate shows golden apple layered with vanilla and subtle toasted wood, supported by lively acidity. Barrel fermentation adds roundness without weight, finishing clean and refined.

Winemaking notes. Whole-cluster pressed and barrel-fermented in French oak, including 20% new barrels. Co-inoculation allowed full malolactic fermentation, preserving purity and balance. Aged five months in oak before bottling, with careful élevage emphasizing texture, integration, and varietal expression over overt oak influence.

Vintage notes. The 2024 growing season marked the second consecutive dry year in Loudoun County, producing clean, concentrated fruit with natural balance. Lower yields enhanced flavor intensity while preserving freshness.
