Tasting notes

Aromas of blue fruit, black olive, leather, and herbs. Lush tannins, porcini mushroom, vanilla, blueberry, and blackberry on the palate.

Winemaking notes. Fermented in stainless steel with commercial yeast after 10 to 14 days of maceration, then aged 30 months in new and neutral American oak. Finished dry at 0 g/L residual sugar and filtered before bottling.

Vintage notes. A cold spring was followed by a cooler, wet mid-summer. The weather turned dry and warm in August and September, allowing late-season ripening and an abundant harvest.
