Tasting notes

Aromas of warm spice and subtle oak lead into flavors of black cherry and cocoa. Medium-bodied with a refined tannin structure, the palate shows balance and elegance, finishing with notes of vanilla and white pepper. A versatile, food-friendly Cabernet Franc.

Winemaking notes. Cabernet Franc from Bella Luna and 12 Sycamores Vineyards, blended with small portions of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon for structure. Aged for ten months in a combination of Hungarian and French oak, integrating gentle spice while maintaining freshness and varietal clarity.

Vintage notes. The 2023 growing season in Loudoun County favored Cabernet Franc, allowing for steady ripening and balanced fruit development. Cool nights preserved acidity while warm daytime temperatures encouraged spice and depth.
