Chardonnay 2022

Produced by Lost Creek Winery · Leesburg, Virginia

Tasting notes

The 2022 Lost Creek Chardonnay showcases crisp aromas of green apple, pear, and citrus zest. Stainless steel fermentation preserves purity and freshness, revealing a bright, clean palate with balanced acidity and a refreshing, mineral-driven finish.

Winemaking notes. 100% estate grown in Loudoun County near the Potomac River. Whole-cluster pressed and crafted with minimal intervention; fermented in stainless steel, blending 70% non-MLF and 30% full-MLF wine for freshness, balance, and refined texture.

Vintage notes. The 2022 growing season in Loudoun County brought warm days, cool nights, and a long, even ripening period. Moderate rainfall supported steady vine development, while late-summer sunshine allowed for optimal flavor concentration and balanced acidity.

Accolades. 90 points, James Suckling.
